Easter

Easter weekend was a really great/decently busy weekend.

On Friday, I drove down to the woodlands and spend time with my parents, my sister Megan, and her foster son (soon to be adopted son!) Cooper.
It was great to see them and just catch up.
I don't get to see them very often because they live in Ft. Worth, so I try to take advantage of any time that I get to spend with them.

Saturday, I woke up and drove to Downtown Houston to meet up with my buddy Stephen at Houston First Baptist Church.
I will be helping them out by leading worship for the next seven weeks, so we had a lot of details to nail out.

Then I met up with with my friend Taylor at a guitar shop and just played around for a bit.
He puts me to shame when it comes to the guitar.
it was sad.

After playing guitar (aka me watching him play guitar), we went to grab some dinner at Empire Cafe on Westheimer.

This place is glorious.

After dinner, I headed towards Sugarland to stay the night with another friend.
I ended up sleeping in a room that smelled like dog pee. awesome.

and finally, Sunday morning I woke up and headed out to play at Grand Parkway Baptist Church.
I cannot express how much I love this church.
I interned there last summer with the youth, and will be interning there again this summer as the worship intern.
An embarrasing moment was when I thought that the service started at 9:30am, when in fact is started at 9:15am. oops.
So I was hanging out in the youth room upstairs when I hear that band start to play the opening song.
crap.
I ran down and waited patiently for the song to finish before walking on stage.
Needless to say, I felt like an idiot.

So there it is.
The longest and most pointless blog you'll ever read.

The Return To Normalcy

Spring Break 2008 has officially come to a close.

that's depressing, isn't it?

This year, my and the roommates hit the road (actually, we flew...) to Boca Grande, Florida to meet up with another group of friends.
Why is Florida 13 times more awesome than College Station?
This is why:
the closest thing we have to a "beach" is galveston.
crap.
here are a few pictures that i have dubbed as "cool/hilarious"

This is a picture of Grant and Brooks, two of my roommates, posing for potential facebook pictures. super gay.

Denzel Washington shot his movie, "Out Of Time", on the island.
pictured here is a few of the buildings seen in the opening scene of the film.

One of the funniest moments of the trip...
Brooks unintentionally hindering Grant's "mack" on Meghan.
Hilarious.
so there you have it.
spring break was glorious, and now it is gone.
here's to next year!

Law & Order

I am convinced that this is one of the greatest shows on television.
have you ever watched it?
It is nothing short of amazing.
plus, it's on every day for 5 hours on TNT and USA in the middle of the day, so i watch it quite a bit in between classes.

There are 3 different versions, each with different casts and themes:

First, The Original.

This is personally my favorite. These two detectives, Green and Briscoe, will stab you without thinking twice. watch your back.

and who could forget Jack McCoy?

Don't cross him. he'll kill you.
think im lying?
try him.

Next, you've got SVU (Special Victims Unit)
from what I've gathered, this is typically people's favorite.
I don't blame them.
the only problem is that Jack McCoy isn't in it.

Stabler punches perps in the face...even women sometimes.
now, i don't advocate the punching of women....but c'mon...that's freakin awesome.

The last type of Law & Order is Criminal Intent, but I don't like that one.
the detective is a know-it-all....and it's annoying.
he's very similar in this respect to Horatio from CSI: Miami.

No one likes this guy.
No one.
